Women Business Owners Graduate from Emerging Leaders Class
The Small Business Administration North Florida District Office recognized nine business owners as Emerging Leaders at a graduation ceremony held November 6, 2013 at the JAX Chamber. The program started in 2010, and is offered in select cities nationwide.
At the ceremony, Pat Blanchard, Director of the JAX Chamber Foundation’s Jacksonville Women’s Business Center (JWBC), received “surprise” honors for her dedication to the small business community.
“The Emerging Leaders program helps small business leaders in Jacksonville grow and create jobs,” Wilfredo J. Gonzalez, North Florida District Director said. “I congratulate each of the participants on first being selected to participate in this competitive program, and then for completing the intensive nine month curriculum. We expect to see great things from this group in the future.”
The local program was facilitated by Suzanne Lemen, owner of Dynamic Corporate Solutions. Graduates include these JWBC clients:
Kelly Huber, Chiropractor, Chiropractic Plus
Pam Gibson, President, Idea Staffing
Printella Bankhead, President, EBS Security, Inc.
The Emerging Leaders program is designed to accelerate the growth and development of existing businesses through strategic planning, networking, and training. An advanced training series, the program is open to small business owners and executives of Jacksonville companies with annual revenues of at least $300,000, have been in business for at least three years, and have at least one employee, other than the owner.
