Business Mentoring

The Jacksonville Women’s Business Center’s mentoring programs are open to any woman entrepreneur who meets the specific criteria for that particular program. Acceptance to all mentoring programs is by application only. Partial scholarships and payment schedules are available. No one is turned away due to an inability to pay.

Links the business owner with a panel of unpaid advisers for a year to meet business goals and objectives.
Applications for Spring Enrollment are accepted from April 15 – May 31.
Applications for Fall Enrollment are accepted from Oct. 15 – Nov. 30.

Financial Matter$SM

Links a woman business owner with an accountant and a financial expert for six months to improve management and business decisions.
Applications are accepted in April.

Advanced Financial Matter$SM

Links a woman business owner with an accountant and a financial expert for six months to apply long-term financial strategies to grow and protect the business.

Leadership MattersSM

The Leadership Training for Women program is an instructional program jointly presented by the Davis College of Business at Jacksonville University (DCOB) and the Jacksonville Women’s Business Center (JWBC). Participants attend a series of workshops and are linked with a mentor to complete a Personal Development Plan.

Links a woman business owner with a two-member mentoring team of marketing and public relations professionals for six months to develop marketing strategies for her business.

Facilitated, peer-to-peer mentoring roundtables provide a confidential and interactive forum to expand business knowledge, develop and apply critical skills and reach their business potential.
